Performance of Michael Frayn's 'Noises Off'
Noises Off, a play by British playwright and novelist Michael Frayn, is more than a play within a play. It hilariously offers three variations of a fictional comedy: dress rehearsal, backstage and end of run. The result is off-stage bedlam and on-stage chaos. The idea for the Noises Off came to Frayn as he watched a performance of his one-act play Chinamen from backstage.
Directed by Associate Professor Beverly Redman, Chair of the Theater and Dance Department, the play runs Feb. 20 - 23 at 7:30 p.m.
