Walt Walker: Engineers Without Borders Lecture

Walt Walker is president of the Philadelphia Professional chapter of Engineers Without Borders-USA, a non-profit humanitarian volunteer organization that partners with developing communities worldwide to improve their quality of life via implementation of sustainable engineering projects. EWB-Philly is also involved in monthly neighborhood development projects throughout the Greater Philadelphia area. Mr. Walker has traveled to Bangladesh, El Salvador, and the Philippines for work on water supply and sanitation projects.

Walt holds a B.S. and M.S. degree in Environmental Engineering from Rowan University (Glassboro, NJ). He is currently a project engineer at Cardno BCM in Plymouth Meeting specializing in water/wastewater design, environmental consulting, and geographic information systems (GIS) mapping.

Walt's presentation will focus on his EWB chapter's work, connecting what EWB does pertaining to the global water crisis.
