Shabbat Dinner

Looking for a way to mark the end of the work week?

Every Friday, students gather at Hillel to celebrate Shabbat, the Jewish day of rest, which begins on Friday evening.

Come at 7 p.m. for dinner, or 4:30 p.m. on if you want to help cook the delcious kosher-vegetarian meal.

At 7 we gather at the table, say blessings over candles, grape juice, and bread, and share a home-cooked meal and conversation together. Often there is singing, story-telling, and shared wisdom.

All are welcome--no previous experience of Judaism required!
