This is the time of the Jewish year when we celebrate the New Year of the Trees.
This symbolic meal, or seder, engages all the senses as we taste different types of tree fruits and nuts, following the seasons and exploring our own relationship to trees and our committent to helping them flourish.
Dr. Patrick Hurley of Environmental Studies will be our guest tree and ice-cream-making expert, and Brandon Hoover of the Office of Sustainability will offer his wisdom about eating sustainably.
The Shabbat/seder meal will be made of locally sourced ingredients--it's amazing how much there is, even in the winter.
Please join us for this unique event, and come hungry!
