Opening Reception for 'Interstitial Spaces: Void and Object' by Roger Chavez

An opening reception for the exhibition featuring the work of Roger Chavez. Chavez, who teaches at Ursinus, is a Philadelphia-based artist whose paintings push the boundaries between genres such as portraiture and still life, still life and landscape, and assert the permeability of such boundaries. His canvases range from intimate to expansive essays in the layering of color and use of forms.

The exhibition runs through Jan. 13, 2013.
