UCARE's Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service
"Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve." –Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
The Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service is a way to transform Dr. King's life and teachings into community service that helps to empower and strengthen local communities.
Please join us on at the SHARE Food Center in Philly. Transportation will be provided. Bus will depart from behind Wismer at 8:15 a.m. and return to Ursinus around 12:30 p.m.
You can lend a hand to help them get a head start on this month's bagging for SHARE package orders. With over 2,000 packages ordered each month, the warehouse swings into full operation the week before distribution. To enable all the work to get done in time for order pick-ups, Bagging Saturday gets the ball rolling.
This event, which occurs every month, is a great volunteer opportunity for those who want to start out the year volunteering. There will be lots of work to do on a bagging Saturday, including making boxes, bagging products, packaging orders, and various other warehouse duties.
