'Freedom: The Greatest Source of Energy'

Gordon Tombs, a leading expert in the energy field, will discuss how free people and private property rights (for both physical and intellectual property) are the prerequisites for developing rational energy policy. Mr Tombs will share present aspects of hydrofracturing development in the 20th and 21st centuries and the development of steam power in the 18th and 19th centuries. He will also look at the failed attempt to develop a New World silk industry that has parallels with today's alternative energy initiatives.
