Ursinus College was founded in 1869 in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, and has kept what it calls its founding spirit of egalitarianism for more than 150 years.
Today about 1,500 undergraduates study on a 170-acre campus organized around a recognizable network of brick walks, with the Main Street and Fifth Avenue entrance at Schellhase Commons giving visitors a clear sense of arrival. The campus mixes eras with unusual grace: the stone tower of Bomberger Hall (1892) above Berman Lawn, the Berman Museum of Art and its outdoor sculptures, the Kaleidoscope’s theaters, and the glass and brick of the Innovation and Discovery Center. Every venue on this site is within a short walk of the others — and of campus parking.

Bomberger, 1892Bomberger Hall.
Named for the College’s founding president, John H. A. Bomberger, the hall opened in 1892 and was renovated in 2006. Its auditorium — timber trusses, a wraparound balcony, stained glass, the 3,593-pipe Heefner Memorial Organ — is where the College holds its own ceremonies and where alumni return to be married.
