More about this space
The Innovation and Discovery Center opened in October 2018 and links Pfahler and Thomas halls through light-filled collaborative spaces. The IDC Lobby and the Pfahler Atrium give a conference visible arrival, registration and reception areas; IDC 114 seats 57 with three large TV screens, nine whiteboards and a projector; IDC 116 takes 32 with eight flat screens and ten whiteboards; and the Uimagine Center (IDC 115) is a 17-person incubator room with a 3D printer and mobile monitors. Strong internal circulation lets a multi-part program move between plenary and breakout settings, and the Periodic Table Plaza outside connects the building to Pfahler Hall and Musser Auditorium.
